One of the most creative and innovative saxophone players on Slovenian ground. Boštjan Simon obtained his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy at the University of Ljubljana and his Bachelor’s degree in music at the conservatory in Amsterdam. He became a substitute for saxophone at the Big band RTV and is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed group “Orchestra without borders”, led by the legendary percussionist and drummer Zlatko Kaučič. He is one of the artistic directors of the Internation Saxophone meeting, SaxGo in Nova Gorica. He has collaborated with many international and Slovenian artists, such as: Zlatko Kaučič, David Binney, Jasper Blom, Giovanni Maier, Jasper Stadhouders, Trevor Watts, Igor Lumpert and many others.
